Join us for the very first Techsplorers virtual workshop and learn the fundamentals of electronics from the comfort of your own home through guided lessons with one of our expert instructors!

Discover the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance, how to use a multimeter, how LEDs and capacitors work, how to build circuits on a breadboard, and much more. Then, use your newfound knowledge to build an electronic musical instrument that can be played with just a wave of your hand. You can even add a few more components to create the crazy sounding Theremin Outer Space Siren! Through this course you will explore the "magic" of photoresistors, discover how speakers produce sound, and learn how the 556 Timer (one of the most popular IC chips in the world) can be used to create an oscillator.

Live Virtual Instruction

Gain invaluable practical experience while also learning the science behind how everything works! Through detailed step-by-step guided lessons with a live instructor you will learn everything you need to know to start your journey into electronics.

The live instruction will take place via Google Hangouts over three 2-hr sessions (a Saturday morning & afternoon and a Sunday morning). An additional 1-hr Q&A session is also scheduled directly following each of the main sessions in case extra time is needed for troubleshooting projects or answering questions.


Included in the price of the workshop is the Intro to Electronics Project Kit Bundle ($118 VALUE!), which comes with all of the materials in both the Intro to Electronics and Theremin Siren kits. Not only do we use the exact same components used by real electrical engineers, unlike most other mass-produced, single purpose kits, our materials can be reused and re-purposed to create hundreds of different electronics projects. Plus, the kit ships free right to your door and you'll get to keep all of the materials so the fun can continue at home even after the workshop is over!

Digital Learning Guide

An illustrated learning guide is also provided in PDF form through the Google platform. This allows access from anywhere on any device (simply download the free Google Drive app) and ensures you will always have the most current version if any updates are added in the future. This guide covers everything in the workshop and more for those students who prefer to learn through written lessons at their own pace or who may want to go back and review the lesson at a later date.

How to Register

  1. Click the "Register" button. This will take you to a secure Paypal shopping cart where you can pay via Paypal, debit, or credit card (no Paypal account needed). Make sure to include a valid contact email during checkout.
  2. Within 48 hours of purchase a confirmation email will be sent to verify the shipping address for the materials and request the Google username of the individual who will be participating in the workshop. A Google account is required to be added to the Google Classroom roster and access the digital learning guide. If you do not already have a Google account, visit to create one for free.
  3. Once your shipping address is confirmed, the materials will be shipped free right to your door! NOTE: Registration will close Feb 19th, 2022 (3 weeks before the start of the workshop) to make sure all participants have time to receive the required materials.
