Make a Spark: Exploring Electrical Engineering

(Grades 2-4)

Bristlebot created by student in electrical engineering camp

Electrical Engineers are responsible for developing all types of electronic systems and equipment. If it runs on electricity, an Electrical Engineer probably designed it. If you like projects that light up and creating your own games, Exploring Electrical Engineering is for you!

Discover the magic of static electricity and learn how to build a battery out of pennies. Design and build a steady hand game and try to move the loop along the wire without making the bulb light up. Construct a mini lightsaber out of just a few simple materials and discover how light bulbs work. Learn about electromagnetism, create a robot using a toothbrush and a tiny electric motor, and race your classmates to see whose bot is the fastest!
